Sometimes I wonder, why western people always state that we Malaysians are friendly and warm people?!
After reading an atricle about the horrors of MySpace, IM, Friendster and various other social networking methods in the newspaper, I came up with my possibly silly conclusion, yet i would like to share it...
Is it because western people are too immersed in technology and forgot about the little things that make our lives special?! With the lame Streamyx service that we Malaysians get (so unlike the good fast services that most countries get), and our mamak hanging out and yumcha culture, I believe we interact more than they do and along the way, learnt the art of communication and also learned how to deal with human beings better and are more sensitive when it comes to feelings and such.
Whereas western people, with their high tech life style, have forgotten the bare essentials of comunication. Everything is taken care of by either IM or SMSing or thru the phone, and not face to face. (now, i'm not saying we Malaysians aren't using that method as well, but not as serious as what our western counterparts are doing at the moment i guess. I might be wrong, it's just a guess).
Those who bury themselves with their mobile phones, their iPods, are heading this way as well, one fine day they'll lack real communication someday. everything so digitalised, one fine day we'll forget that a good old meeting over a cuppa tea is just the best and ideal way to communicate.
So, fancy dropping your iPod right now?! i dun mind picking it up for you...

a little bit of ranting...
damn it!!! after some troubleshooting from Sian Siew, i realize i deleted my Google Analytics code when i was messing around with my template!!! fugg it!!! now i dunno what's been going on in my blog for the past few days. shit. -__-

hmmm, interesting thought really..perhaps as society progresses, people tend to get more materialistic or busy that they dont have time to communicate with others...
but i don't really find Malaysians especially warm and friendly, maybe its because they treat foreigners differently than locals...just my humble opinion.

ya it's true, coz they wanna suck up to those that are different. ya srsly, get a grip.
Tourists will always be friendly but if you travel into their country they may not be as friendly as you think. If they want your business they would be else those on the streets can be rather rude. Honestly speaking, I still find Malaysians friendliest. In London, majority of people here are very unfriendly...in the States...like LA...the Mexicans are very unfriendly. Not against any race or country but just a personal opinion.
nah, not really Ck, just talking about the majority and not everyone, like what Janice said. it's partial and you have weirdos and special people out of every group. :)
it's just solely a thought from my observation, nothing much. if everything i wanna voice out also based on statistics, it wouldn't be called 'personal opinion', would it?!
